Creating a website is a really exciting project. It means learning a lot of technology and figuring out how websites work. I have looked over other farm and ranch websites and tried to bring the best of those sites to our Red Maple Speckle Park website.
One of the challenges is figuring out what to include and being patient in realizing that you can add and update your website with the newest information. We plan on monthly updates so be sure to check back regularly.
Another challenge is finding the images that best show your farm, the cattle you are raising, the crops you are growing and the events that happen at your farm. It's important to feature the people as well as the story really does start there. Their pride in the agriculture industry, passion for food production and the personalities that bring the energy and commitment to the business. Fortunately, we both enjoy taking photos that tell our stories so you can count on lots of images!
We want to have written content that invites you to learn more about our breeding program, the pastures we are managing, the hay we are marketing and the delicious meat that is a result of all of this work and care. We'll keep it concise on the pages of this website. This blog roll will be the wordy part of the website. We'll try to keep this part of the website entertaining and interesting.
So for now, the website is providing the basic information. It's a starting point and it'll develop from there. Kind of like Red Maple Speckle Park
